Art at Home artists add a unique element to weddings!

Before and during the big day add a personalized nuance to to your wedding by:

Bridal Jewelery

A wedding is a celebration of your love that is shared with your closest friends and relatives. Come together with your bridesmaids to make exquisite, customized jewelry sets to add yet another amazing touch to what is sure to be one of the most memorable and anticipated days of your life.

In approximately 2½ hours you can each make an elegant jewelry set including a necklace, pair of earrings and a bracelet. In advance discuss with the artist your selection of gold or silver plating, pearl color, Swarovski crystals, and filigree accents.  The artist will teach you step-by-step how to use the tools to create your keepsake jewelry set!

​These activities are each approximately 2½ hours
Events are $40.00 per person plus a $400.00 Artist fee.
(Maximum of 12 people per session)

Etched Wine Glasses

Custom design a pair of wine glasses and a carafe!

Draw your own designs or initials to monogram, or choose from a selection of stencils. Participants will learn how to transfer their design to the glass and etch.

Bookbinding - Journals

​Make a beautiful,  leather hand-bound journal – perfect for recording who attended at the big day! You’ll start making the signatures - folded sections of paper. Then you’ll learn the art of assembling and sewing your book. Choose from various leathers and colorful dyed silk threads. (Vegetarian option available.)

One (1) 3-hour session - Long Stitch Leather Bound Journal Making events are:
  • 8 and fewer people $400.00 Artist fee & $30.00 per person for materials
  • 9 or more people $80.00 apiece including materials

Wood Painted Signs

Create a rustic-looking heirloom as a gift for the bride and groom as they become their own family!

​To start, participants select from a variety of wood panel shapes. Then using stencils of letters and shapes, wood burning tools, stains, free hand painting, sanding, and distressing techniques they can personalize their piece with a saying, monogram, or commemorative year and event.

​The possibilities are endless!

Children at the wedding - Let them make their own favors, and a photo album of your day!

KUMIHIMO

Make friendship bracelets or bookmarks while learning traditional Japanese Samaurai braiding techniques. (It’s like making lanyards, but on steroids). Uses beautiful, vibrantly colored ribbons, silk threads, and beads, and the weaving keeps younger hands engaged and busy long after the event is over.

​WET FELTING 
​
Learn the ancient technique of wet felting where un-spun wool fleece is laid out in multiple thin layers or around objects. Then, using water and soap, the fleece is compressed into a solid fabric. We won't be using needles, just our hands. The finished products can be used as paperweights or as a scrubbie with a built in bath soap.
It's clean, wet, wooly fun!

CARTOON CHARACTER DRAWING
​
Draw your own cartoon character(s) for your own comic book with guidance from an experienced cartoon comic book artist. Have fun working on concept art including: sketching, poses, powers, movement, and character profiles.  Using colored pencils, markers, and watercolor pencils, you’ll bring your character to life.

This activity takes 1½ –  2-hours
$48.00 per person for groups of 9 or more
$400.00 for groups of 8 or fewer people

​PHOTOGRAPHY - Make an Album 
​
A professional photographer will work with your younger guests to chronicle your wedding from their perspective while using disposable cameras (and cell phones). The photographer will teach them about composition and how to capture the perfect moment. Afterwards the Photographer will assemble a hard copy photo album.

This activity takes 1½ –  2-hours
Day of, $400.00 Artist Fee + $25.00 per person for cameras & developing.
$350.00 (plus shipping) for Artist to assemble digital album with one hard copy album.
