You can shop at home with the click of a mouse. You can get a college degree via the computer in your home office. You can order home delivery of food and groceries, and your movies and books arrive in the mailbox.
Now there is a new way to enrich your life that is personal and convenient. Art At Home brings artists to work with you, your friends and your children on the art project of your dreams. This could involve creating a one-time piece that you can give as a gift or that perfectly suits your home decor. Or the art could be the fun and unique highlight of a birthday party or bridal shower. Or you could arrange regular drawing or painting lessons to develop your artistic streak.
Art should always be a personal expression, and that is why Art at Home provides projects and lessons to satisfy your creative bent.
Art at Home is an innovation in art instruction that is the brainchild of Amy Linde and Rebecca Simon, combining their experience, talents and interests.
"Why did we start Art at Home? We spend our time as most people do…working and taking care of the details of everyday living, yet we have creative souls aching for an outlet. We are not the types to sit and relax when we have spare time; we have to be busy with a purpose, doing something, using our minds and hands, and being creative. We know that many share this desire to create, to fabricate items of beauty with meaning. We wanted to provide a way for people at home, by necessity or choice, to let their creative passions flow."

Amy Linde has spent her career striving to satisfy the evolving needs of customers. She worked in both marketing and sales for some of America’s best-known consumer brands at Beatrice’s Dairy division, American Home Products, Pepsi-Cola, and Euro RSCG Impact. In 2009, she entered the rapidly growing field of renewable energy. She developed solar energy projects for customers ranging from Scotts Miracle Gro and Nestle Purina PetCare to municipalities, military installations, and private residences. Most recently, she partnered with Keep My Planet Green (KMPG), a division of Sterling Planet, a company that is providing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and carbon offsets to individuals to achieve carbon neutrality. Her involvement started by developing sustainability focused school fund raising programs, and she also took KMPG’s offerings to small businesses and the hospitality industry.
During her career in marketing and sales, behind the scenes she has always had a creative project, doing needle point and counted cross stitch, and designing and sewing halloween costumes for her children (i.e., jerry-rigging patterns so Napoleon, TS Eliott's Cats, Manga characters, or gum-ball machines could trick or treat). She has always wanted to devote more time to cultivating her creative side, and is sure that many other people have the same desire to explore painting, ceramics, glassworks, floral arranging, and more. This was her incentive to co-develop Art at Home, to connect people with skilled artists covering a wide range of artistic offerings, and bring high quality instruction and enjoyment into people's homes.
Amy has a B.A. from Oberlin College with a French major and Art History minor, and an MIM/MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Rebecca Simon is a Fine and Graphic artist whose work varies from practical commercial designs to whimsical serving pieces to large scale fine art assemblages. She sees art as an integral part of our daily lives—on our walls, on our shelves and table settings. She began her work by designing toys for Coleco and sculpting jewelry for Napier in Connecticut. She worked in graphic design for Gamer Publishing, a subsidiary of Capitol Cities ABC, and Powell Advertising and Design in Boston before starting her own graphic design company, Simonworks. Her graphic design work included, logos, annual reports and billboards. After moving her family to Atlanta, Rebecca combined her fine arts training with her love of design and started The Divine Dish, a company that offered a unique line of dessert dishes that were sold by Nordstrom.
As her children were growing up, she developed art projects and classes that allowed children to try a variety of mediums and she subsequently taught art at The Cliff Valley School. Rebecca also designed custom tile work for clients’ homes and began creating large fine art assemblages as part of SimonandShields.com. Her work was sold and displayed in galleries in the Atlanta area. A large mosaic adorns the lobby of The Cliff Valley School in Atlanta. Rebecca’s experience in art has strengthened her ability to scale hands-on projects for different artistic abilities and time limits. This was her incentive to co-create Art at Home, a company that brings individual artists with a wide range of talents into peoples homes to allow them to expand their art skills.
Rebecca has a B.A. from Brandeis University in Fine Arts and completed advanced coursework in graphic design from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.
