Patricia D. is an award-winning artist with more than 20-years of experience as a graphic artist and teacher. She has translated her distinctive style of design expertise into mixed media art combining painting and collage. In addition, she works with specialty papers and soldering shadow box jewelry. Her classes cover a wide range of topics encompassing mixed media, paper arts, and jewelry making. Among her many achievements, Patricia is also a successful packaging designer creating product packaging designs, corporate brochures, catalogs and logo designs.
She attended the University of Massachusetts and Portfolio Center for Graphic Design. She has taught in both schools as an adjunct professor, and enjoys working with students of all ages from the novice to the seasoned artist taking them on a creative journey of love, healing, and inspiration. Drawing from personal experience, as a child an art teacher told her not to paint the sky green, because it was blue. From this she developed a philosophy that creativity is in all of us and and is unique for each person. She encourages her students to intuitively create from within and express how they perceive the world.
