Project: Jewelry Making - Beginning Beading

Picture
Mary B. 's project, designing your own strung bead bracelet or necklace, is age-appropriate, yet will also provide a final piece of jewelry that is durable and of good quality. With that in mind, the beads she has selected are in wide variety of colors and finishes in glass (not inexpensive plastic "craft" beads). The beads are large enough to be manageable for small hands and hands that aren't as dexterous as before; if anyone has trouble with stringing the beads on the wire she'll help when needed (she'll be hands-on as much or as little as is needed for the group).

This is a great activity for a party!
